Discovery

It's no secret that jail's no picnic, but a new docuseries by Discovery wants to show you exactly what the experience can be like. And it isn't pretty.
"First Week In" follows folks for seven days as they experience their first time behind bars. Cameras reveal how the newbie inmates?deal with?their bleak surroundings and the sometimes threatening new community of fellow law-breakers.
An exclusive clip Discovery shared with us hints at the grim reality that Chris Snider faced. The 29-year-old from Tulsa, Okla., was in jail on charges for domestic assault and battery.
"I'm nervous because I don't know if they're going to assign me a cell with murderers,?drug dealers ...," Snider admitted. "I'm nervous as hell." (Turns out?he ended up bunking?with a gentleman named Mr. Nails. Umm ... yikes?)
And as he entered the Tulsa County Jail, the heckling and whistles started up as his fellow inmates quickly gathered to check out the new guy.?
"Fresh meat!" one man yelled.
"You look pretty!" another added.
